The invention oftelevision has shortened the time and distance for us The television is a means through which the news and events that take place in any corner of the world can be sent to any part of the world in a very short time. It is nothing but an improved (ene) state of a radio. The difference i that in a tolevision we can have both audio-visual systems while the radio has only the audio system Today we need not go to a distant place to see an event taking place. The television exhibits (oritr) us all the events and we can be aware of the world events simply by sitting in our room. We need not go to a cinema hall to witness (Bsretsl asrt) a movie. The television gives us knowledge (erR) and pleasure (encatw) in our own room. Now-a-days, we need not spare much time to learn about the happenings (PHI) of the world because of this modern scientific invention of the television. It is also useful to the students as some important (R*th) topics on science and other subjects are telecast through the television. It is worth mentioning that the Govt. of India has undertaken oefde) a new Education Policy sensA) for a moral uplift of the young generation (PER) of the country. In this education policy, it is proposed to impart education through the television where the teacher will only be an operator. It is hoped that the education spread widely through the television programmes will enable our new generation to face the competitive world of the 21st century Despite its good impacts, the television, if not used properly, may cause harm to our society. our youngsters must not
